VENTONIUM

VENTONIUM

A stylized, geometric illustration of a black bird's head, possibly a raven or crow, with yellow eye details on a black background.

Unseen, unheard, but never unfelt.

What is …

Unity
Project

Ventonium is a non-profit and crew that lets events and festivals breathe: one team that seamlessly connects front-of-house, backstage, and audience moments, with a focus on service, flow, and respect for place and audience.

Organisers gain calm and predictability, volunteers get clear roles, guidance, and visible impact in the moment.

For organisers

Ventonium plugs into the run sheet, communication lines, and site plan, and delivers short, usable observations after each shift for immediate optimisation.

Shifts are clearly prepared with role descriptions, timings, points of contact, and reporting lines, so peaks are smoothed and “gaps” are filled quickly.

For volunteers

Each shift starts with a concrete briefing, a clear task, and a point of contact in the field; tasks match experience and energy, with attention to sustainable pacing and breaks.

The culture is calm, helpful, and respectful, with learning-by-doing and room to grow in soft skills, teamwork, and operational reflexes.

Front-of-house

  • Reception and flow: welcoming guests, keeping ticket and wristband flow smooth, organising queues, and solving bottlenecks early.

  • Info and accessibility: targeted answers at info points and discreet assistance for visitors who need extra help.

  • Stewards: audience guidance and clear directions, with a calm, welcoming tone that shapes the experience.

Backstage and logistics

  • Stagehands: build-up and breakdown, cable management, flight cases, and smooth changeovers under the lead of tech and stage management.

  • Site builders: placing fences, signs, and wayfinding, delineating zones, controlled dismantling, and neatly sorted returns.

  • Backliners: setting up instruments and backline, keeping labelling in order, tight changeovers without unnecessary adjustments.

  • Runners: internal transports, picking up/delivering supplies, stock moves, and short radio updates for timing and traceability.

Eco, bar and catering

  • Eco hands: guiding cup circulation, manning collection points, giving brief explanations, keeping counts, and doing cleanup rounds.

  • Bar hands: bar setup, cooling and stock, managing cups/tokens, and buffering peaks so the bar team can serve.

  • Caterers: mise en place and distribution of crew meals, following up on diets/allergens, kitchen logistics, and a tidy dishwashing flow.

Parking and decor

  • Parkers: guiding entries and exits, filling zones according to plan, keeping pedestrian routes and evacuation corridors clear, clear signage.

  • Deco hands: placing decor, banners, and prints at ground level, keeping alignment and finish neat, performing small repairs.

Way of working

Ventonium works “quietly efficient”: preventing problems, smoothing peaks, and connecting links so makers can create and audiences experience smoothly.

Reporting is short and to the point: what stood out, what worked, and what can be improved immediately for the next edition.

What does it deliver?

  • For organisers: less friction at gates and bars, tidy build-up and breakdown, predictable dayparts, and usable evaluations.

  • For volunteers: meaningful work in a warm team, clear tasks, and visible impact on the event flow.

Join or hire

Organisers schedule Ventonium per daypart or task cluster; the crew hooks into existing schedules and scales at peak moments.

Volunteers choose roles that fit their energy and experience; each shift starts with a briefing and ends with a short debrief to grow together.
